Kate founded ALCHEMY with the belief that finding a college should be a time of anticipation and exploration, not hype and anxiety. She is passionate about helping young people of all backgrounds realize their personal and academic potential. She knows the world-expanding power of higher education. Kate’s unique approach comes from her extensive experience. She has over 15 years in selective university admissions, education consulting, and independent school college counseling. She holds an Ed.M. from Harvard University, with a focus in higher education administration, leadership, and policy.
In addition to working one-on-one with high school students and their parents, Kate has served as an independent education consultant for a wide range of organizations, including corporations, independent schools, and colleges. She has been a featured speaker and workshop leader at numerous college and professional association events, and makes regular networking and information gathering visits to college and university campuses throughout the country.
